I have not tried to persuade anyone on EXACTLY who to vote for with the previous blogs. However, I believe there is an area that makes deciding who to vote for very easy. Let me give you the quick background. The other night I was watching a cable news program, and I saw one of Barack Obama's pundits being interviewed. He said the amazing words that Obama's abortion views are in accordance with the Bible and that Jesus would be the most liberal abortion supporter today. Basically, he said that Jesus would give his whole-hearted support for babies being killed, including the babies killed on the operating table after botched abortions. What?! This guy is a professor at a major university, and he is teaching people that Jesus would be a pro-death (pro-choice) supporter. Has Barak Obama or Dr. Lamont ever, EVER read the BIBLE? Because I have, and nowhere have I ever read such blasphemy! (I hope you understand that I am yelling at the top of my lungs in my mind as I write this).
Read the Bible Mr. Obama and Mr. Lamont. Read it, because Jesus said suffer the little children to come unto me. Jesus was a Jew by the way not a Christian. Christians are Jews and Gentiles who follow Jesus. Jesus was a Jew and Jewish law (read the Old Testament) said that if a man killed the baby in a woman's womb that man would be KILLED!
If you vote for Obama because of eloquent speech and you call yourself a Christian, of whatever denomination, you are blind. Obama believes in abortion at any stage, including if a woman delivers a botched abortion (i.e. the baby lives) and she still wants that baby dead. The baby is alive on the operating table, and they still want to kill him/her. Obama believes in killing babies who have gone full term and are partially delievered by having an incinsion cut in the back of their skulls and then have their brain sucked out or crushed.
Wake up America. Though economics, drilling oil to help our economy, keeping the government from destroying our health care system, and protection from terrorists are important issues, it's more important to protect life. That IS what Jesus would want.
You might say "But I am not a Christian." Well, do you believe in the Declaration of Independence? Because it is a "right to life" document. It says that all men have the certain rights and among those rights are the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. You can't have the last two if you don't have the first right. We need a President who believes in preserving this above anything else. We need judges in federal courts on all levels who want to protect life, not discard it as simply organic material. American people need to stop thinking of themselves and think of those most helpless. Bottom line: it just makes common sense to protect life and that is what Jesus would want. Dr. Lamont is an idiot, and that's just common sense!

I agree abortion is wrong and that all life is sacred. As it says in the Bible "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." Psalms 13-14. However, that doesn’t mean that someone still shouldn’t vote for Barak Obama.
DJ Olowojesiku
well i agree completely with you, Obama has flowery and persuasive words to say to convince his followers, but its those of us real christians that dont believe his nonsense that comes out of his mouth. You sir are a true American! And a great christian, because you told us today that if you claim to be a christian you have to really think before you vote because some of what obama says isnt always true.
I agree on everything.No1 obama is so messed up,what is he thinking is his sick mind he need to read the Bible seriously.No2 we should not have someone running for president who is a muslim, they want to kill americans.No3 and he does not want to drill for oil,who does not want to lower gas prices
I totally agree. Abortion is wrong, we might have rights but we do NOT have the right to take a life. God gave each of us a purpose as said in Jer. 1:5: "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born I set you apart." God uses us before we are even born. "He will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from birth." Obama was not thinking at all when he said that. the bible does not say or assume anywhere that Jesus supports abortion. A child is a gift from God, a gift of more reflection of his image. It is wrong to destroy it. Abortion is wrong, and Jesus doesnt not support it, but remember he does forgive those who sin... so should we.
I agree about Bible is very important and good for anyone.
I disagree about kill the man who kill the baby.jesus sacrifice for him.if a person kill him.The person have the sin.so, god will trial.
I agree that problems in america is more important than protect life.If someone don't solve the problems,it's more harmful than before.
Abortion is totally wrong, 100%. It is never okay, in any stage. God put that baby there for a reason, that baby is made in his image and God has a plan for him. If it were you, would you have wanted your mother to kill you before you were even born? I doubt it. Secondly, in the Proverbs 6:17, where God is talking about what he hates, it says, "haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood." The baby inside of you has done nothing wrong. It has done nothing to make you dislike it or disapprove of it. You have a life in your womb. Why in the world would you want to dishonor God's word or kill someone you don't even know? It just isn't right. Jesus says he hates it. Finally, the world would deffinately be going against the government. We would be defying the Constitution, that's been there long before we were even thought of. Mr. Williams is deffinately right. Barak Obama is not the best candidate, unless you think killing is okay.

A child has every right to life than any of us do!!!
1] Abortion is MURDER! You are KILLING God's creation, he made that little child for a purpose and a reason. Killing a baby doesn't make it any less a murder, it was alive, whether in the world or not, it was alive. It had a beating heart!
2] Obama is just a total idiot for believing that Jesus would support him. Jesus doesn't support murder! In fact one of God's Ten Commandments is "Thou shalt NOT KILL!" How does Obama get support out of a direct direction of DON'T MURDER?!? The Bible is clear, and cannot be changed. Obama obviously doesn't read the Bible very often, or he would know that abortion...is SICK and WRONG!
3] Yes, we as a country have rights, and we can believe what we want to. You can believe that abortion is okay, because it was an "accident", or 'she didn't want children.' Thn give the child to someone who is WILLING to actually love it! Don't kill it! The rights we have do NOT give us the right to kill another human being! If you get punished for killing a grown adult, then what's the difference than killing a child? Especially a child!!! We have our freedom of thought and speech, but we don't have a freedom of 'action', it's disturbing and just wrong.
ABORTION IS MURDER!!!
Mr. William's, I know you didn't want us using 'I' statements, but I have to say this.
I strongly, strongly, strongly "dislike" anything to do with abording any child, I don't care if it was an accident, it had a life, and you took it away. You don't have the right!
Who wants a president that is willing to kill the future generation of America? The future lives of this country? I know that I most certainly don't...

i agree one hundred percent.
obama does not know what he is talking about.of course abortion is wrong and God would never say it is right because i mean that baby that you killed could have been a president or a singer or a preacher.abortion is wrong at any stage, even if you just got prego.if you dont want to have a baby then dont have sex or do somethin to make you not have a baby.oboma should NOT say things that are not backed up by fact.he needs to get his head into the game and start thinking clearer.
love,
CHRISTINA :]
Doing abortion is not act to do person. I think do abortion is really bad because when do abortion baby lost their lives. In Korea most important thing is people's lives. And we legislate against about abortion. We need protect lives. And every child have their own right ro born.

(1.)Doing abortion is not fair. In Korea abortion is prohibited by law. Baby have their own right to born and when we do abortion, we stop to their right.
(2.)Protect life is most important things in the world.
(3.)In Bible LORD said "Love Life"I'm not a good christian but I can understand what the LORD said. If you are a Christian and believe what LORD said, practice it.
Mr. Williams you never cease to amaze me :). Well as you probally know i disagree completely with your blog.First i would like to say that i am glad Barak is running not Mr.Lamont,Who you seem to be quoting. Now what BARAK said himself was that he does not beleive an ABORTION.What he does beleive in is that all woman should have the right to chose for themselves and that the goverment should not dictate that choice. As Far as Christianity is concerened,Jews still do not beleive that Jesus Christ is the son of God.However Barak Obama stated on NATIONAL TV that he does beleive in God and Jesus Christ. For those who dont know, that means he is a CHRISTIAN and not a muslimn! Also Mr. Williams i would like to inform you that the bible says all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and i beleive both candidates would fall under that category. Even Jhon Mcain who i would like to hear your opinions on.
ps...people make sure you dont confuse what Dr. Lamont is saying with what Barak Obama beleives.Plz get youre facts straight.
Mr. Hines,
Understand this unless Barak Obama comes out and disavows what Dr. Lamont says, then he agrees. Second, by saying a woman has a right to choose still takes away the rights of the baby. By the way, a woman does not have the right to commit suicide, legally be a prostitute, or use illegal drugs, so what gives her the right to kill her baby? Finally, I only brought up Jewish Law, because Jesus was a Jew. The Old Testament Law prohibited a man from killing a baby in a woman's womb. Jesus would have followed that law because He was perfect and He was the one who gave that law, since He is God. Christians should obviously follow what Jesus would do. That is why we are called Christians.
PS When we finish watching Obama comments you will find out that his views don't line up with the Bible. The Bible says life begins at conception. Barak Obama refused to go on the record when he believes life begins. You will also see that John McCain believes that life begins at conception and he believes in "PROTECTING" life. That is THE job of the government!
i compleetly agree with everything u said.abortion in anny stage is murder.also if we have a president who has no respect for life wat can we expect out of him.its irresponsible to vote for a person who is so ignorant to agree with abortion the bible says its wrong and like u said the declaration of independence says we have a rite to life.
~Aaron Vilarchao~
The fact is, Obama believes in abortion. If we truly are Christians, we won't vote for Obama. He claims that he is a Christian, yet, he tells us all this malarky that Jesus, our King and Savior, would believe in abortion, the killing of babies -- innocent life. Obama's an idiot to think this.
I agree completely. Even at just five weeks, babies have already developed eyes. Psalm 139:16 says "Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." God knew everything we were to accomplish and do even before we were conceived! How could anyone vote for a candidate who supports something so heinous? The baby shouldn't have to pay for their parent's irresponsibility. If they don't want to have a child at the time, then they need to be responsible and take birth control or wait until they're married and ready to have a baby.
Elizabeth Lewis W2
I couldn't agree more with you.
Abortion must be done when the baby made by accident. I mean that there's some cases that the woman who has baby by accident such as rape, even though she didn't want to have because she couldn't do anyting for that. But some people do abortion because the baby they had wasn't expected sex.(i.e. Suppose that one couple wanted to have a boy but the baby in mother's womb is a girl, they abort.)And it can't be happen.
The baby also, of course,is one of creatures that God made. That means abortions is equal to murder. Even if the baby isn't born, he or she is growing in his/her mother's womb.So the baby also has the right to life as we can see in the declaration of independence. And we need to protect babies' lives.
The last, I have no idea about why did Dr.Lamont and Obama say such idiot thing, i think he isn't appropriate to elected as U.S.President.
Seon min Lee
W2
I agree! It is horrible to kill a baby and I know Jesus loves every baby and he would never agree to kill a baby , that is crazy. Babies are so sweet and innocent. Lizzy Rigdon
I agree.
First of all, this is complete hypocrisy on Obama's part. He claims that he desires to help the "least of these" like the Bible says, and yet he supports murdering unborn children-- if they are not helpless and "least," I don't know who is.
Second, nothing in the Bible comes close to supporting his ridiculous claims about Jesus advocating abortion.
Lastly, abortion is very obviously murder. No matter what stage the pregnancy is in, the child is very much ALIVE. The baby is not simply a part of the mother, and therefore she does not have the right to place the death penalty on him or her because the child is just as human as she is.
Kayla Crowell W2
I agree completely with that entire blog. If Barak believes that it is ok to kill babies, unborn or not, that is terrible. killing the baby murder. The baby hasn't done anything to deserve death. But killing and innocent child should be a crime.
For the most part, I think that abortion is wrong. Some cases, however, could be understandlable. If you are raped or something of the sort, then an abortion could be an option. But if you go off and have sex and know that you are not ready for a baby, and one "suddenly" pops out, then abortion is ABSOLUTELY wrong! i dont think that Obama is a bad person by any means. Yes, some of his opinions may not agree with others, but no ones really do. Just because I dont agree with what you say, doesnt mean I dont want you as a teacher. So people should not judge Obama on just this one opinion. And that is another thing, I dont think that non-christians who believe in the declaration of independece are wrong in doing so. Everyone is granted freedom of life, and i do not think that killing a baby on the table is right, but Im sure those new born babies have not sat up and read the declarartion of independece. Therefore, they do not know that their freedoms are being taken away from them.
BUT I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT AGREE WITH ABORTION!
but i do like Obama.
-Cherish Carr
This is all fact about what you are saying. But this still doesn't change my mind about Obama. Obama did not mean it the way you are making it seem, actually it was Lamont. Obama is in fact a christian. But, if he did say it the way your making it seem I'm sure it was by mistake. Remember Jesus forgives.
God Bless.
L.J. Robinson
You are correct. Obama’s view is not based on biblical knowledge but on what he thinks the people want. People today don’t want to take responsibility for their actions. This is no excuse for a so-called “Christian” to go against one of God’s commandments: “Thou shalt not kill" (Exodus 20:13 KJV).
I agree with this blog 100%. Abortions is wrong, just like you said, the Bible says if man kills a baby, he deserves to die. one thing i do not agree on is what you were saying about Obama. I do not like Obama but i think he was exaggerating a bit when he said that, but he did and he is now accountable for that. I also agree with the statement murdering babies. Most people think that it is not murder, but it is. I cannot go into great detail because i have to choose my words wisely but it is proven that a baby is a human being, not just organic material!
Leon H. B2 - sorry its late
Mr Williams,
Dr. Lamont said this, NOT Obama. They are two sepaerate people, not everything Dr.Lamont believes Obama agrees with. Its just like Obamas priest! Obama is not pro-abortion, he's even quoted on it. I agree abortion is wrong, the majority of americans believes this.
Some of the people commenting are making moreridiculous generalizations (For example:
No2 we should not have someone running for president who is a muslim, they want to kill americans.
-quinton) Are you kidding me?(prejudice).
Dr. Lamont is an idiot, but why are you prejudging about Obama? Why are you agruing like Obama and Dr. Lamont are the same person? It would be unfair or unjust to judge a presidential candidate based on the opinions of one of his supporters.
Who do you supposed we vote for then?, since you obviously are not a PROUD supporter of Barack obama.
I am proud to be a christian.
Jonah Padilla
"No one is pro-abortion"
Barack Obama
Mr. williams i completely agree with that whole statement! Abortion is murder. thats a fact. I personally think that it should be considered against the law to have an abortion. The reasons to this theory are:
1) when you abort a child, you are taking a life(which is against the law and the Bible both)
2) if you choose to have sex you should think it through completely and want the child that comes with it
3) if there's a problem with your child, then there is a reason to it, because God has a reason for everything(whether it be to help with patience, tough love, loving everyone, peace, etc.)
Like you said in class Monday, I can't understand why someone who says they are a Christian and believe in the Bible could believe in such a horrible thing. And if Barak Obama believes in or supports abortions than we have an incredible reason to question his relationship with the Lord almighty.
~ Jessica Reynolds :)
P.S.
just because someone says they're a Christian, doesn't automatically make them one. That is between that person and God. They can quote as much scripture as they want, but if they don't believe in what they are saying and back it up 100% then it means nothing.
and Obama is not muslim for the last time, he is a christian!
Jonah
Everything that Mr. Williams has said, is 100% true. This is one of the main topics discussed throughout our nation, whether in politics, or in just the typical american household. although it is against the law to take a life, aka murder, the whole abortion thing seems to have an exception in that department, which blows my mind away. cause killing, is well, killing, unless justified. but obama is completely arrogant of the fact that jesus was not a "baby killer," or would be a hardcore abortionist-liberal. but since some americans are naive of what the bible really has to say about life, in a general sense, they take his word for it, and dance for the puppet master. killing an innocent baby is just so, wrong. it disgusts me quite a bit, and shakes me to my core to hear that liberals and lawyers want to make this legal. i just dont quite comprehend the fact of why anyone would want to kill a new born baby. if it was a baby out of teen pregnancy, there is such a thing called adoption. anyone who votes for obama, they have no idea what they are doing. he is an obscene and disgusting man, who hides behind a fake smile and laugh, of which he does the two quite often.
Connor Shoup B1
Jonah,
Do not get all upset. Barak Obama did support killing a baby that survived an abortion. He supports abortion. You will see in class he does not know when life begins. Again, I am not coming at this from a political perspective on this issue but from a Biblical perspective. Another key point, Obama says in the interview on Saturday he is going to nominate people into the Judicial Branch that are liberal. That means they will support abortion. So, it goes beyond just electing him, it also means dealing with all the judges he appoints if he became president. Eloquent speech a good President does not make. Finally, you will see in the interview McCain supports the right to Life, so I guess he is going to get my vote!
Mr. W.
P.S. I really don't care what "religion" Obama considers himself, he lost me when he said his grandmother was a "typical" white-woman, as if all white people are racist.
You were very right when you said abortion is the most important issue. Not only is it the most horrible thing someone could do to an innocent and helpless baby, but it is also breaking one of the Ten Commandments, "You shall not murder."(Exodus 20:13) Another example of why abortion is wrong is shown in Jeremiah 1:5, which says," Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." This verse says that God knew us before we even came out of the womb, meaning that we had "life," meaning that babies are equal to a person out of the womb. Babies are just as important as any person, no matter their age. Why is killing a person inside the womb any different from killing an adult? If killing a person is considered a crime, abortion should be too because it is the exact same thing. Leviticus 24:21 says,"Whoever kills an animal must make restitution, but whoever kills a man must be put to death." Abortion should be considered a serious crime like the Old Testament considered it. Therefore, it should definitely be considered a crime and not taken so lightly.
-Kendall Jackson B1
Ok Mr. Williams. First, I would like to say that I agree that abortion is wrong. And I also saw that debate on what he said about abortion. He never said that he was for abortion, but he did say that he would entrust the decision to the one person who was responsible for having the baby...the soon-to-be-mother. Now he also believes that we need to talk to the young women about teen pregancy, and how they can avoid making this dangerous and regrettable decision. We can also stress the fact of safe sex. Second, for all those who thinks Obama is muslim, you are DEAD WRONG. He has said it on live tv that he was not muslim but a Christian, and for those who have no facts other than his name, that is both ignorant and stereotypical. Just because his name is Hussein then that makes him a muslim. So what all of you are saying is that if Muslims had my middle name...Dijon. Then that makes me a muslim to. A true muslim is MUHHAMED ALI, and he practices the religion everyday. MALCOM X practiced the nation of Islamic's religions...which he was a MUSLIM. Third, Obama has worked on some policies and discussed them with numerous people, not only on the Democratic side, but on the Republican side as well...and the main on he did this with is JOHN MCAIN! This man is a Christian and believes that abortion is wrong, and that whoever does kill an innocent baby should extentual consequences. He has worked on Anti-Abortion bills to be passed because he knows that the value of life is priceless. So for all of you that just say over and over that "BARACK OBAMA IS MUSLIM AND THAT HE IS A BABY KILLER", have real facts that match what he actually said and what he believes in. As for John McCain, he has no idea what he is talking about. He cheated on his wife...much like a friend of his named, GEORGE W.BUSH...who he not only supported in starting the war in Iraq, but also raise the gas prices. If anybody was smart they would find another way for cars to run...on something that doesn't have any end to it...AIR. then there would be no fuss about gas prices and economy going down because nobody has any money to feed their families...AND THAT IS WHAT I HAVE TO SAY TO NOT ONLY YOU MR. WILLIAMS, BUT TO THE REST WHO DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT AS WELL
You say Obama is not pro-abortion?? Obama does support abortion, it says on his own promotional website, go look it up under women in the issues section.
T.W. We did not finish the whole video, of which I have watched all of it. Two quick points: never I have heard him say that abortion is wrong, a sin, or a crime. Second, as the President, the head of the Executive Branch, it would be his job to "Protect" Americans lives/rights. So, here is the question, do he not believe in protecting the lives of innocent children? Finally, everyone needs to stay on track to respond to the blog. We are not here to talk about Obama's name. We are talking about real issues.
PS I will delete your comments if you get off track on some tangent that is not in keeping with the nature of the subject.
When I first heard about abortion, I heard that it was just prevention for a woman to have a baby. I thought that abortion wasn't so bad. After a really learned about it from my dad I had no idea how horrible it is. I can say for myself that it is one of the most terrible forms of murder I can think of and if you do it then you deserve death. Jesus would have been disgusted as any true christian is at abortion. If you truely believe that it is ok or that Obama should be president under these terms you need to repent to God. And finally, this is my beleif, that Barak Obama is not a christian. he is an idiot, a hypocrit, and he is going to mess up the country if he is president. The idea that he would beleive that Jesus would approve of abortion, just proves it.
Nick Collini W2
And for proof that he is not a Muslim...please visit the website http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/muslim.asp. Now mind you that the story is JUST A CLAIM AND THAT THE TRUTH IS BELOW IT. And after i talked about Mcain, i was talking about Barack Obama. My apologies for not making that clear.
Mr.Williams you are right that preserving life is great, but I must say that God gave us the right to chose. So why should the government have the right to take it,when what we do is between ourself and God. Also since it seems to be the case that John Mcain has no faults, i would like to point some out. John Mcain said he believed in a marrage between one man and one woman. Yet and still he cheated on his first wife, divorced her and got married again. Is this how Jesus would truly act? So if your view on a candidate is based on character, please view the character of both candidates.
Ps... Dr. Lamont is not on Barack's campaign staff so why should he have to denounce every person who has a comment on him.
Yes, Christians should obviously follow what Jesus would do. However, If you are measuring Barack according to Christian standards, I believe you should also measure McCain and his family by "Christian" standards also. For example, Mrs. McCain was getting prescription drugs illegally through her charity organization while she was a mother of 4 small children, one of whom she adopted while addicted. Is this a double standard? Is this what Jesus would do? Is this your view of preserving life, Mr. Williams? Because as stated before, we all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God!
Perhaps let's discuss the issues of the candidates, not just the character because neither is perfect, only Jesus Christ the son of God.
joseph hines
Mr. Williams,
You said that you have never heard Barack Obama say that abortion is wrong, but what you didn't say is that he never said that abortion is RIGHT either. Further more, he has been said that he will protect America. But he is not president yet in order to do so. He is clearly not a baby killer. And all of this is relevant to what we are talking about. Because many people believe that EVERYTHING about Obama has a tie in with what he believes and stands for. So this is very much relevant...in all respect to you.
I am not from the US and for me there is no diffrence between Obama and McCain but in this case i am against Obama.I agree with your commant!Everybody needs to know that abortion is wrong!God would never say it is right, and he would never agree to kill a baby!
abortion=murder!!!!!killing innocent babby is WRONG!!
Abortion is wrong, period. There's no way around the fact that no matter how 'underdeveloped' or unwanted the baby is,it is still a living baby.If Obama disagrees with that, then as Christians we should not vote for him even if he says he's a Christian. The Bible definitely does not say anything to support abortion.
Obama is completely wrong with his statements and beliefs. Your article states that the Bible says murder is a sin, and that is completely true. There are so many references that state that murder is a sin, but one specific one on abortion is Exodus 21:22-23, "If men strive, and hurt a women with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give for life."
Jesus is the son of God, and if God says the purpose of human creation was to redeem mankind, then why would Jesus agree on abortion? Some people state that if it's an accident or a forced rape than its okay to have an abortion, but where in the Bible does it say its okay to kill anyone at anytime? Its certainly not that babies fault, so we shouldn't focus on killing an innocent child for a mistake, but focusing on responsibility and faith in God as a nation.
You are right. Abortion is absolutely, 100% wrong, and to say that Jesus, who desires that the little children should come to Him (Luke 18:16), supports murder is absurd. Christ also said whoever welcomes little children welcomes Him (Mark 9:37). The woman who kills her child is in for some pretty serious condemnation.
-Katie B3
you are definitely right mr. williams. abortion is very wrong and stupid. here are a couple of biblical refrences: the sixth commandment says "thou shall not murder" so why would jesus want to kill babies if he himself says that murder is wrong? plus murder is a sin and we know that jesus never sinned. at the end of hebrews chapter 4 verse 15 it says"...but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning." this is talking about jesus and how we was without sin. another point is this: Mark 12:31 says: "And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these." so basically this verse is saying that you should love EVERYONE ELSE like you would want them to love you, or love them as much or more than you love yourself. so by killing other babies, you are not loving them as yourself. how would the people doing this baby killing feel if they were killed as a baby? not so good.....so to all the baby killers out there, read the bible!!! especially mark 12:31
that is all
-parker smith B1
I have to agree completly with you MR. Williams (for once). I believ that Dr. Lamonts point is extremly absurd. Life begins at the conception and as you said we have a rigth to life. Also, just thinking about it, killing an unborn or semi-born baby is just sickening in my mind. Finally, if Jesus died on the cross to save all of us, why would he want to support the murder of innocent children who never even sinned.
That's what i think.
MD Waters B3
I agree fully, Obama's attempts to defeat the Illinois Born Alive Infant Protection Act has repeatedly come back to campaign. Obama has been harassed over his 'no' vote to the act as a state senator.
The bill intended to clarify that any baby who is expelled from his or her mother, and shows signs of life, is to be represented as a legal "person" with all the rights as a person.
Obama is another political egoist, looking to put the view of a primary minority over the view of the majority. Too bad that the unborn can't vote, as Obama would find himself defeated by those truly affected by abortion. So much for democrats protecting the weak and helpless.
Alex-B1
Nick Collini W2 the real blog.
1)Abortion is one of the sickess crimes there is. Murder is one thing, (that is evil) but to murder an unborn baby? sometimes born baby? that is sick and Evil. 2)In the bible it said that you knew Jesus when you were made in you're secret place, and that means in the womb. I you knew God in the womb and you are killed in the womb, you were murdered.
3) When you are first concieved you are already an American (unless you were in another country) therefore you already have rights, and they are Liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and LIFE! if you take the baby's life inside the womb or not you are commiting murder, and violating the childs right to life!
Your argument makes complete sense. Jesus would never WANT to kill us. First of all HE himself died to save US. That just doesn't even make sense to think he would want to kill us, knowing that. And that is in the Bible so Obama OBVIOUSLY hasn't read it. Second...Jesus knew us before we were even created. Jeremiah 1:5 says, "Before i formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born i set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations". Jesus has a plan for everyone. He didnt say he knew us before we were born and planned to kill us at birth or something! Thirdly...he says in the ten commandments cleary "thou shall not kill". That's pretty self explainatory and straight forward. So if Obama claims to be a Christian and, even though Jesus cleary states "thou shall not kill", he turns around and says killing babies is ok then he IS an idiot.
Bueno points by the way mr.williams! =]

I agree with wut you are saying in this blog. There is no way in the world that Jesus (the creator of life) would ever be pro abortion. To base a stament like this off of the Bible could only mean one thing, that the Bible was clearly misunderstood. There are passages all throughout the bible where Jesus is healing and helping children. He even goes as far as to say that we should have child-like faith. Lastly Jesus would never aprove of any kind of murder not matter if you have just been concieved or if you are an elder. According to the the Bible anyone who thinks differently is completely wrong.
Chas collett
obama shouldnt make assumptions about what jesus would or wouldnt be or do especially because god put us here and im sure it wasnt just to be taken back out
Mr.Williams,
I can tell that you have the gift of prophecy, which is made apparent by your strong desire to get what you believe is the truth across. For the most part, I agree with what you say.
Amos 1:13 is an example of the wrath that God has had on those who kill unborns. I will not say that it is the worst crime there is. I believe that all crimes are equal, though there is evidence that some crimes will have different eternal punishment. I do, however, consider abortion to be an act of murder. Whether the woman has been raped or has consented to engage in sexual relations, abortion constitutes murder. And the argument that abortion should be permitted in instances of rape is a flawed argument. The likelyhood of a pregnancy occurring in a non-manic or non-stressed state is very low. Specific circumstances must be in place for the fertilization to occur. In the situation of rape, the amount of stress makes it difficult for fertilization to occur. Therefore, calling morning-after pills or post-rape abortions ethical is a flawed argument. Unless one does not follow scripture, then you can do whatever you want. I'm not your judge, or so I corinthians 5 tells me. I am just supposed to keep those who claim Christ in line. And if Mr. Obama claims Christ, I think the best idea would be to call him into account for his misgivings. Complaining about him like this solves nothing and just makes the church look divided.
The main reason that I am against abortion is due to my belief that man is inherently evil. Total depravity, if you will. This is a doctrine established by verses such as Romans 3:23 and Jerehmiah 17:9. Due to my belief in man's inherent evil nature, I believe that aborted children are destined to eternal condemnation. And this is all the more reason to push for the abolition of abortion. If aborted babies went to heaven, why stop abortion? Abortion would get them a free trip to heaven, so it would not be rational to abolish it as christians. But due to the scriptural truth of man's depravity, aborted babies do not go to heaven. Therefore, I, as an individual that is compelled to follow Christ, am against abortion.
The one point i disagree with your post about is the idea that we have a right to life. Yes, the declaration of independence says that we have a right to life. If the DoI, if you will, were an infallible document, i would agree with that idea. Alas, it was a document that was drafted by men and was based on the writings of John Locke, a deist. From my own understanding, we, as sinful man, have a right to nothing except damnation. We have no right to life, liberty, or property. Those are privileges. Privileges bestowed upon us by God. As seen in the account of Job, they can be easily taken away. However, the bible cannot be used in a political forum, so the DoI must suffice when combatting abortion. I do not agree with the DoI, but I also do not agree with abortion. It is only logical that if murder is illegal, if suicide is illegal, abortion should be illegal. They all constitute the taking of life.
Forgive me if i said anything contrary to scripture. It is the document which i hope my points align with.

Mr. Williams, It is ridiculous that someone would say that Jesus is in full support of killing babies, much less killing anyone! It is known that @ the point of conception life begins. SO therefore if it would be ok to kill a baby then every murderer put in jail for anyone's death should be just let free. I say this because if you can get away with killing a baby then you should be able to get away with any degree of murder. Also, we all know the common bible verse used to argue with pro-choicers, Psalm 139:13-14. This verse says, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full and well." Also, I can say that if someone was scared or didn't want to have their child to continue with the pregancy and give it up for adoption. My lil sis is adopted and it scares me to think that her birth mom could have killed her if she wanted to, then I wouldn't have had such an awesome sister who has taught me so much. Mallory Scholes B1
i fully and completly agree with you!! why in the world would obama say that Jesus would want to KILL us!?!?! Thats INSANE!!! Jesus would never want to kill his own beloved children that he created with his own hands. He made us out of DIRT!!! why would he want to destroy something he had put so much effort in to!!
Obviously Obama did NOT read the bible because in the ten commandments it clearly says "thou shalt NOT KILL!!!!" duh obama. pick up the bible and get your facts straight before you go saying your a christian.
It also says in the bible that god knew us before we were born in our mothers womb, he knows how many hairs our on our head. i mean not even the smartest person in the world knows that. god died for everyone including a tiny baby thats not even born yet!!! and he has a plan for each and every single one of us. Before we were born, before the creation of the world God knew everything about everybody! he planned our life out for us. And i am SURE that he didnt want one of his children to be aborted. (Epeshians 1:11)

:]
oh ps. this makes me angryyyyyyyy
And just so i dont sound like a fundamentalist, abortion IS FORGIVABLE!!! IT DOES NOT LEAD TO DAMNATION!! But if one does not repent or believe based on the compulsion of the Holy Spirit, one is damned. I don't want to hate those who commit abortion. I should be concentrated on hating my own sin. Forgive me if i sounded condescending to anyone here.
Ross
One more thing:
I am for capital punishment. It is commanded by God. So, yes, God does command us to kill.
Ross
- the argument in this article is true because abortion in any sense is killing an innocent child.
- If everyone in America believed like this then this country wouldn't be as messed up as it is today.
- anyone who says that killing a obviously has no idea what our constitution says.
I agree. I believe abortion is completely wrong. Obama does not have a correct biblical view on the abortion topic. He and whoever else, really need to read up on their bible knowledge and realize that Jesus was in no way a supporter for abortion or any sort of killing babies.
Ross, where does in the Bible does it say that we are commanded to kill?
i agree completely, Barak is an idiot and we need a president with some common sense.
Evan Carr
Well, the fact that i would vote for Obama is just because he is the best out of the two. Neither candidate is going to be in line with everything you believe so either you pick the best of the worst, or don't vote at all. Obama will win the elections in November so we might as well face the fact that he wil be President. And even if we drill in our own country, it would take years for gas prices to move significantly, and definitely wouldn't be the quick fix that everyone is looking for.

Oh, okay thanks.
I believe that abortion is wrong and God is completely against it. As you said the declaration states our freedom to life. We as christians need to make a stand against abortion. As it says in the bible, "We are fearfully and wonderfully made." At my school last year I was assigned that book to read for homework. It really opened my eyes to what was going on around me and how we as christians need to put a stop to it. We need to think and do the right thing through God's eyes. Obama may have very persuasive speeches but the more he speaks the more you find of what he is really about. I was listening to the radio the other day about a bill that he passed as senator to dispose of "unwanted children." It was a cruel and sad story and if people still want to vote for him they are crazy. Wake up USA!
-Bradley Hereth
Why did God, at one point tell the Children of Israel to kill sacrificial offerings, witches, homosexuals, people who touch unclean things, etc, etc, then later tell people to turn the other cheek and to "not judge" and to love thine enemies?
An example is in I Sam 15:3, where God commands the Israelites to kill every child (even unborn children) of the Amalekites for the sins of their grandfathers.
I suppose I am not to take the Bible literally, as many of you will point out the distinction between murder and killing. You will point out that it is mis-translated. There is a big difference between murder and kill.
If you read what the Israelites were commanded to do Much of it sounds exactly like murder to me.
Over and over, slaughter, even genocide is sanctioned by God.
Why did God command the slaughter of children? Wouldn't adoption have been a better option than abortion?
Ross, thank you for being one of the few people on here that know what they are talking about. It was relief to me to read your entry. Thanks.
Mr. Williams, on MOST parts of your agreement I am in total agreement. Before I start, I would just like to say I'm not really for Obama or McCain. I'm pretty much neutral. Anyways, it's obvious to everyone that what Mr. Lamont is completely against what the Bible teaches. Psalms 13-14 says, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." This makes it obvious that God created us, and that to him we are already His creation at the moment that the mother is impregnated.
Genesis 18:25 says, "Far be it from you to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?" God commands us not to kill in these verses. Since babies are already people in their mothers womb, then killing babies in any stage is considered murder and is against Gods word.
Once again, i'll reiterate that I'm not biased towards neither Obama nor McCain. As many people have already said, this isn't Obama speaking, it's his pundit. It's understandable that he is speaking on behalf of Obama, but there's always the possibility that these aren't exactly Obama's views.
My last point is that everybody has done or is doing something right now that is not in accordance with God's word. David himself was not exactly "Mr. Perfect", but he is still one of the most highly respected people in the Bible. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." I'm sure McCain, or anybody on Earth, is free of sin. Only one person has ever been free of sin and that's Jesus Christ.
In conclusion, when voting, your christian views should come into play. Every candidate falls short of the glory of God, so vote for the one that correlates the closest to your Christian and political views but keep in mind that all of the candidates have a sinful nature.
Very nice Akil. In your sentence "I'm sure McCain, or anybody on Earth, is free of sin," I assume that you meant to put a "not" in front of the "free of sin" and an "and" instead of an "or." Perhaps I am wrong.
I agree completely with you. However, both candidates are motivated to get elected. McCain may choose a pro abortion running mate. McCain also will not let the "National Right to Life Committee" run ads in the last weeks of the campaign on "issue advocacy." McCain also labels evangelists as agents of intolerance. McCain has always voted strictly anti-abortion, but religion and social issues are not part of his political personality. Obama, who is pro abortion, in the Illinois legislature chose not to vote at all on abortion rights. So was he really committed to abortion rights? Obama is trying to reach abortion opponents on a common ground of pregnacy prevention and adoption. Obama is also trying to reach evangelicals and Catholics on their definition of "pro life" to include opposing torture poverty and unnecessary war. Both Obama and McCain are trying to get elected. Politics is never about one issue only.

Wow! That was an amazing blog Mr. William.
Well, Obama says that Jesus would be the #1 supporter for abortion. This statement could be and is being debated. Matthew 18:5 says, "Whoso shall receive one such little child in My name receiveth Me". Baisically, when a woman or a couple(doesn't really matter which one) has an abortion they are rejecting God. Now if you call yourself a true christian and have an abortion, then you have a lot of "CATCHING UP" to do.
Some people say that a baby doesn't actually live, until they are out of the womb. Well they're wrong, becuase the baby experiences life while he is in the womb. This is true, becuase the mother is feeding the baby while it is still in the womb.
Last, who gives the woman the right to kill a LIVING baby. The parents may say you, but for real FORGET what the parents say (unless they say you shoudn't). The question is what does He say, what does God say. 1 Corithians 6:19 says, "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own". Hopefully you understand that God runs this. We are part of the Christian Colony, and God is in charge of all.
Mr. Williams, you are right. This is the time for America to wake up and understand the importance of life.
~AJ McCray-Nibbs W3~
Oh yeah and tomarcus...just because he was on "live tv" saying he was a christian, doesn't mean he is. Nobody really knows who is truly a Christian, and those who claim to know that someone is or isn't a Christian are basically saying they are God because only He knows where ones heart really is. Many people would like to think that he is a Christian but we cant know for sure, we just have to see how he acts when he is president and base our opinion off of that. But I really am not a Obama supporter, and if I was 18 I probably would not vote.
yeah, that's what I meant to say. haha my bad
coach williams, i totally agree with this. although i am not completely caught up with the politics and the stances of presidential candidates, i do know that Barack supports abortion. (And the fact that he believes that Jesus shared hid same beliefs on the murder of children is outrageously absurd.)
and though i do not know his heart and i can not condemn him, i do not know how he could call himself a Christian, yet support abortion, the separation of church and state, religious tolerance, and same-sex marriage!
abortion, as stated many times above, is undoubtedly wrong. and i do agree with ross that there is no excuse for an abortion, no matter how the pregnancy occurred.
paul warns the romans in romans 16:17-18, "17 I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. 18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people." this verse is true, still today. christians must be on their guard and take everything they hear and compare it back to the Word of God.
all we can do right now is pray that God's perfect will will be done in our country and that it would honor Him and ultimately give Him the glory.
AGREED!!
Who in their right mind would think that Jesus would be FOR killing children!? Really Obama, you think that...hmmm let's actually look at what scripture says. In Psalms 127:3 it says,
"Sons are a heritage from the LORD,children a reward from him."
In Matthew 10:13-16, Jesus calls the children to him. Jesus, son of God, holds these children in his arms and BLESSES them!! AKA Jesus loves children. Killing infants=no children. That basically is the opposite of what God has instructed mankind to do. In Genesis 9:7 it says,
"As for you[speaking to Noah], be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it."
This says make babies, not kill them!
(Do you hear the yelling coming out of this comment yet?(: )
People people people! If you're the potential leader of this country, you need to know what you're talking about. Properly, know what you're talking about. Don't just skim the Bible and pick out what you want. Dig deep in his word and know exactly what he wants us to know. God has put everything in the Bible that we need to know about him. If Obama had really read the scriptures and dug through them, he would have been able to see exactly what God wants...and he first of all wants life.
Even the Declaration of Independence says that all men have the right to LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Thats pretty clear. Life should be valued, not just throw out in the trash like an old sandwich. Life's a gift, a gift from God.
P.S-
Who could live with the guilt of killing someone? Not just a squrmy little thing that just happens to be INSIDE of you, but an acutal person LIVING inside of you. It could of have a name,it one day could of have hair color, eye color. Who does that? How do you do that? That beautiful human being has half your genes inside of it. HALF! Again, how does someone do that?
WHEW!
well thats all for now :)

Abortion should not be aloud in America. Its stupid, your killing a baby that you made. Its your fault why theres a baby guys and girls. 1. Cration should be a good thing, but people are killing Gods creation. 2. Jesus wants more babys, so if they grow up as a Christian kid they can go out and spread the gospel. 3. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/07/18/AR2005071801164.html says between 15-19 year old make up 19 percent of abortion, its your fault teens, you made the choice to have sex, deal with the out come.
Travis Glenn W3
RTD I really like'd what you said..... but this is my only question. Yes man is deprived to damnation in there sin. But my question to you is would you agree that there is moral evil and that what we must truly strive for is to shy away from
Even though Obama is trying to "help" the baby mamas, he is really hurting them in the long run. If he is elected president and woman all over the world start having abortions their guilt will come back to haunt them which wont be worth it. Even if abortion wasn't wrong, and Obama claims he reads the Bible, he should know blasphemy is still a big sin. So taking things completely out of context to get him votes is wrong. If Obama is claiming the Bible supports abortion, he is already lying, and the last thing America needs is a liar as president.
Great posts US History Class! I am enjoying reading them. One thing to get credit you must put your name and class. Whoever is just writing under anon., I am thinking about deleting your posts. One thing I will address tonight: God is the giver of Life so he is the only one to take it (even if he REQUIRES man to do His bidding in this). Saul was told to utterly kill ALL of the Amalekites because when Israel was traveling from Egypt to the Promise land, the Amalekites attacked the back of the pack. In the back of this huge convoy of Israelites were the elderly and the children. The command to Saul to destroy the Amalekites was a PUNISHMENT by God. That is why is was RIGHT. The Amalekites were not innocent but guilty of shedding innocent blood. Aborted babies are innocent they have done no wrong. Yes God can forgive those who have had abortions, however that does not mean there is an absence of consequences. Just ask the thief on the cross. He still died for his crime, but he is in heaven today, forgiven.
Abortion is wrong, 100%.
1. The Bible teaches that human life is different from other types of life because humans are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). We aren't just a bunch of cells thrown together.. everybody has a purpose and meaning to their life and they obviously can't fulfill that meaning if they are aborted.
2. Proverbs 6: 17 is talking about what God hates. It says "haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood." obviously killing a baby because of your own mistake is shedding innocent blood because that baby didn't have a choice whether it wanted to be concieved or not.
3. Psalm 139:16 says "your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." This is saying that before a person is born, God already had their life planned out. Nobody was truly an "accident" because God already had that person planned out before he or she was conceived. If a baby is so "unwanted" there is always adoption. People need to learn to live up to their mistakes and get over themselves because abortion is totally wrong and an innocent little baby shouldn't have to pay for the mistake.
~Sarah Conkle W3
so this is ridiculous. saying that Jesus would be for abortion makes no sense.
first off, Jesus loved children. in Luke 18:15-17, when parents are trying to bring their children to Him but the disciples try to keep them away, Jesus called for the children.
in Proverbs 6:16-19 it says, "There are six things the Lord hates— no, seven things he detests: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent..." those babies were innocent. if obama is supporting abortion, hes supporting the hands that do it, and hes supporting what the Lord detests.
and why would you kill something the Lord gave to you? it says in Psalm 127:3, "Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him."
basically abortion is wrong. its killing an innocent human being, a child. it is wrong that obama supports this, and that fact probably doesnt make him the best choice for the leader of our country.
and as Christians, we should defend our beliefs, but that does not mean getting upset and yelling and making a big scene either (not saying anything about anyone here)...just know what you believe and why. then maybe someone will get the point some day.
but you know. hate the sin, not the sinner.
:)
I agree with what you are sayin mr. williams. after obama said that Jesus would give his whole-hearted support for babies being killed, i dont know how anyone could vote for him ! how could anyone want a president who is for killing innocent babies? killing unborn or newborn babies is ridiculous. these babies come into the world completely innocent, not having done a single thing wrong. they shouldnt be punished for being born just because theyre parents dont want them! obama needs to read the Bible again and understand what is really written and not take things out of context. every child was created special by God. why would God be supportive of killing something he took time to create. God has a plan for everyone and im sure the plan wasnt for them to die before they were born.
You are totally correct on this point Mr. Williams. Obama’s view on abortion is not at all based on biblical knowledge, but on what he thinks the people want to hear and want. People today don’t want to take responsibility for their actions. This is a very good article that needs to be heard.
I agree that abortion is wrong, no matter what anybody else says. The Bible is the soul authority to which we should reference if there is any question, and in this case is was clearly misunderstood. Dr. Lamont, did not grasp the concept that the creator of life itself(Jesus) would probably not be the one to support taking it away. The concept of killing a fetus in itself is wrong. The concept of Jesus killing fetuses is just disgusting. Read the Bible!!
Eddie Denovellis W3
Hey Mr. Williams. Nice blog.
1) Abortion is wrong. Psalms 139:13says, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb." If one believes the Bible, then that is evidence enough that God makes everyone and intends for those fetuses to be born.
2) Obama needs to consider his words. He can talk many into following him. However, until he can back up his opinions and claims with personal examples of him doing them, he doesn't need to make these claims.
3) Proverbs 12:26 says, "A righteous man is cautious in friendship, but the way of the wicked leads them astray." Barak Obama needs to reconsider his affiliates. He has friends such as Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Tony Rezko, and this Dr. Marc Lamont Hill. These men, by their actions anyways, can not claim to be Christ followers. They all believe evil things and live in sin.
Obama needs to consider these things before he can even have a chance with Christian voters at the polls.
-Brent Hall
Mr. Williams,
I agree with many of the points you stated. Abortion is completely wrong and is something that our country should not take a part in. Jeremiah 1:15 and Psalm 139:13-14 are two passages to show that God is completely against abortion. However, there were a couple of points in your blog that i did not agree with. You wrote, "If you vote for Obama because of eloquent speech and you call yourself a Christian, of whatever denomination, you are blind." I think that statement is a little much. You make it sound as if you are not a good Christian if you vote for Obama. Both of these men have flaws. As other students have said "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". You should not condemn others on who they think is best fit to lead this country. I also think it would have been better if you attacked what Obama said and his reasons for saying them instead of going at what Lamont said. I am not crazy about either of these candidates and I do again believe that abortion is completely wrong and it should never happen, but I do think that you could have came at this argument a little bit differently.
What is this world coming to an Obama-nation, Its not ok Obam-nate fetuis in the womb of there mom. Whats next illinizing drugs in the world of Obama-nation. I was not the other anonymous Mr. Williams

God never told the Israelites to kill gays, wizards, or people who touch meat. He told them to atone for it. And he NEVER said to turn a blind eye to people's wrongdoings. We are to be as shrewd as serpants, but as gentle as doves. Forgetting the misgivings of someone is untactful. And we are CALLED to judge those who claim to be in the faith, as is commanded by I Corinthians 5. And people who abort babies are not my enemies. They are the fetuses enemies.
Quote:
"An example is in I Sam 15:3, where God commands the Israelites to kill every child (even unborn children) of the Amalekites for the sins of their grandfathers. "
That is because the Amalekites attacked the chosen people of God. He TOLD them to kill them so that they may not rise up again. God commands the killing of SPECIFIC people. He does not give free reign to kill everyone we want.
Quote:
"But my question to you is would you agree that there is moral evil and that what we must truly strive for is to shy away from?"
Yes. IF by "moral evil", you mean sin, then I agree. We must strive for righteousness. We must love what God loves and hate what God hates. This is how we know if we are in the faith: if we desire the things that God desires. And we shouldn't just "shy away from it", we should FLEE FROM/ ABHOR IT.
-Ross
Yea, abortion is one thing, but letting the doctors be able to kill a baby after it has already been birthed is ridiculous. God said that we are made in the image of HIM, and that whenever we are to kill someone, you SHALL be killed also. Ive noticed that in many states they have only put a certain time period on murderers, but the Bible says if you kill someone, you shall be killed. The only exception to this would be that you killed in self defense. I mean David killed Goliath in self - defense of his own county for the glory of God, and God was pleased with
I have to admit, whenever i watch a commercial or listen to a speech of Obama, he sounds pretty convincing. I just cant think of what kind of maniac would want to pass a law that says you can kill a baby even when it is out of the womb. Even though this is extremely ridiculous, we have to face it....Obama is gonna win, no doubt. America is fed up with Republicans, so ya Obama will win. I dont know but it seems to me that all politicians can 'talk the talk.' I just dont know if Obama really has a plan, cause his advertisements say he does, but no specifics. In Proverbs 12:26, it says that "A righteous man is cautious in friendship, but the way of the wicked leads them astray." Its sad to me how people can be led astray by his talk, i just hope and pray that one day America might be smart enough to realize that even though Obama claims to be Christian (btw, in his past church, his pastor sweared a lot, and hated white people, but until this day barak Obama attended his church....ok???), he believes in such things abortions, and killing the baby after its birthed, and i know ive said that like a million times, but its just oxymoron to me.
Leviticus says in ch. 24 vs.17 that, "'If anyone takes the life of a human being, he must be put to death."
you're right, even the declaration of independece says we have a right to life, I just wish we could go back to the constitution.
Jess McAnally
Ross,
I will strongly disagree with one point you made, I don't believe the Bible eternally damns the unborn or babies. The only reference in the Bible to what happens when a baby dies is found when David's son from Bathsheba dies. David tells his servants that he cannot bring the child back to him, but he will go to be with the child. Now, either David is in hell if what you believe is true, or David, who was a "man after God's own heart" is in heaven with his child. I think that most Christians believe the latter. You are entitled to believe whatever, but I don't know of any other scripture that deals with babies' eternal security. Since, this is the only reference, that is one I am going with. By the way, I believe God gave us this scripture to give people hope. Otherwise, many families would be deheartened. Babies can not make a choice to accept Christ, so they are not accountable.
In the up-coming elections, it is important to understand where each candidate stands on the issue of abortion. However, it seems as if our society is more interested in how a presidential candidate addresses the current hot topics like boosting the economy, etc. During this election, every American has an important decision to make: do we want to stand behind a leader who does not view God's creation of life as sacred?
Brooke Hutchins b3
Mr. Williams,
I apologize in advance if I come off as condescending in this reply. That is not my intention. I am merely going to show where I derive my belief on depravity. I do not wish to change anyone's belief, I just want to defend my own.
I have read the scripture about what David said in regards to his son. If David was referring to going to his baby in the afterlife, I believe he was referring to paradise/hades as opposed to heaven. From what I understand, Christ descended into hades/paradise after he was crucified to liberate those that were being held there. Those being held included David and his son. If they were compelled to accept Christ as the Messiah, chances are they are in heaven right now... unless paradise is still being used. I am inclined to believe that hades is still in use, but heaven has been opened up to those who follow Christ. Hell has no one in it as of right now. The first being to be thrown into hell will be satan.
I believe that, prior to Christ's crucifixion, babies that died would go to either paradise or hades. After the crucifixion, they went to hades. I believe this because of man's sin nature. Man is conceived sinful, and therefore cannot be with God if he does not repent and believe.
If I may, allow me to ask this question: If unborn babies that die actually *do* go to heaven, why stop abortion? Abortion would theoretically give these kids a free ride to heaven and they would avoid the chance of not accepting Christ. If the babies really are not accountable, Christians should be in favor of abortion. It would send kids to Jesus faster. Alas, I find this unscriptural. As God is a just God, he does not let sin in his presence. Man is conceived evil, so he is on a one-way trip to hades if the Holy Spirit does not intervene in his life.
Just so I don't sound like some evil fundamentalist that hates babies, please be aware that I had a sibling that died in a miscarriage. My family knows what it is like to lose a child. But God is just and His plan is perfect. He is glorified by whatever he choses to do.
I admit that some of what I say might be theologically incorrect. I still have much research to do about the afterlife. Forgive me if I say anything contrary to scripture.

To begin the Bible states, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." Psalms 13-14. If we believe in the word of Christ and believe in the Ten Commandments then together we see that if we take part in abortion we are not going along with these two scriptures. One of the ten commandments is Thou shall not murder which if God made us and has a plan for then a doctor or anyone who murders a baby is not only braking one of the ten commandments they are also destroying Gods beautiful creation.
God has made each of us to full fill his plan. He uses each one of us to spread his gospel throughout the earth. Yes, a baby cannot talk or share the gospel but what if Gods plan for a baby that was aborted was to be a missionary. When that baby is killed you are taking the chances of many other people coming to know Christ chances away.
God knows us before we are even conceived. If he didn't have a plan for us on this earth than he would not put us in our mothers stomach. So when a doctor aborts a baby then he is ruining Gods plan and is murdering a life. We have the right to life and just because a baby cant speak up for themselves doesn't mean this right does not apply to them. We need to stand up for not only the millions of babies but also the Lord we believe in.

It's important to know bible in a right way. Obama interpreted scripture in his own way and therefore he uses it for his own advantage. Not to mention ofcourse, abortion is wrong. It's in the bible that jesus alway has loved kids. Abortion is an absoulte murder since all fetus have a potential to become babies as well as human. Therefor, their right must be protected .It's really vital to know bible correctly and one must not use it for his or her own way. That's why we should study the scripture.
Mr. Williams... looks like im kinda late.. ANYWAY...
1)Barack Obama calls this current generation the "Joshua Generation" because we must build upon the previous generations just as Joshua built upon the leadership of Moses (from BarackObama.com). Did our previous generations support abortion? Some of these blogs claim that Mr. Williams is wrong in claiming that Obama is ProChoice. This should clear things up... "Supports a Woman’s Right to Choose:
Barack Obama understands that abortion is a divisive issue, and respects those who disagree with him. However, he has been a consistent champion of reproductive choice and will make preserving women’s rights under Roe v. Wade a priority as President. He opposes any constitutional amendment to overturn the Supreme Court's decision in that case"(BarackObam.com). Now, can you argue with Obama himself telling you he is ProChoice?
2)Mr Williams is also correct in the effort to make clear that Jesus WOULD NOT be ProChoice. 1Peter 3:7b reads ..."as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers." Although in context this verse says that husbands should share life with their wives, it non-the-less CLEARLY states that you heirs to the gift of life. Life is a gift given by God. Cherish it and do not think of it as a passing thing. Treasure it. That proves that God gave you life. The Bible clearly states many times that sex outside of marriage is wrong and is therefore a sin. The Bible says in Deuteronomy 24:16
"Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sin."
3) Barack Obama has eloquent words of persuasion. As Christians, and has people deciding on who to vote for, we need to look past his words and get into the heart of what he says. For those of you who are voting for Barack because you agree with what he says on these important issues, then so be it. But for those of you who are voting forhim for other reasons (i.e. race, being the first black president, democratic party, etc.) then look and listen to what he actually says on these important issues and stop putting words into his mouth or interpret what he says exactly how you want it so that you can stretch it and make it go along with the Bible. Cut the crap and the fancy words out and listen to what he says. HE IS PRO ABORTION (ProChoice) no "ifs" "ands" or "buts". It layed out for you in black and white.
